The best burgers and the most incredible fries period. Love how they dump extra fries in your bag. Always clean and staff always friendly.

I miss In-N-Out like I miss old friends. I've heard so much hype and comparison since I've been in Louisville and it was truly disappointing. The burgers were alright, but nothing special. The fries were meh. In price, quality and speed, five guys rates above fast food, and below an Applebee's. Is there really any need for a restaurant between the two? For the record, the staff was super friendly and helpful.

This is a good stop for the most part. The only complaint I have is that the employees never smile and the music they play in the restaurant is way too loud.

"This better be a damn good burger for $11," I said as we sat down at our table. And, you know what? It was a good burger; just not for $11. That $11.10 included the small cheeseburger, regular fries and a regular soda. The burger was very fresh and reminded me of In 'N Out on the West Coast (though that joint will give you a meal for under $6). You get to choose as many toppings as you like which is nice. The bun suffered under the strain, but it held. There are a ridiculous amount of fries in a regular serving. You get a cup of fries (that's enough, thanks) and then they take another scoop and just drop it in the bag. I'm a little compulsive, so I kept eating fries until everyone was done and they had to tell me to stop. The fries tasted fine on the whole, but many are soggy with oil and they were EXTREMELY salty. Service was fine, but I didn't have the overwhelming experience that some of the other reviewers experienced. Overall, food was good, but definitely not a good value. I'd put 5 guys slightly above Wendy's in the taste dept, but at twice the price it is tough to justify.

I don't know why anyone would give this place a good review. Prices are ridiculous. The hamburger's were presented in foil rap and when you opened them they looked like they had smashed them before putting them in the foil. The meat was not thoroughly cooked and the fries were soggy. I will not visit again, especially when 3 single cheeseburgers, 1 large fry and 3 drinks cost $31!!!!

Next best burger compared to my all time favorite of In-N-out. I love the condiment options and the Cajun fries.

Oh my goodness, oh my dayum. :) (Look up Daym Drops on YouTube -- love that guy.) I also love Five Guys, though it is kinda expensive and you have to wait for your food (but that's because it's freshly made). I miss the Charlestown Road location but this one still offers good service, fries and burgers. Love the variety of toppings, even though I will always get the same ones every visit. Sigh.

$6.50 for a cheeseburger is a bit pricey. The bun can't handle the toppings, which fall out, and the bottom bun gets soggy. The " grilled" onions and mushrooms were actually sauteed. Fries are generous, but greasy and limp. For the price, not worth it. The place is clean, staff is efficient, and you do get free peanuts to munch on.

Burgers are good but 12 bucks for a burger, regular fry and regular drink is a little pricey for fast food. They do give you a redick amount of fried though.

I've been to a few five guys around the country and they are all about the same layout. It is clean inside with plenty of seating. The burgers here are great and prepared to order and the fries are fantastic. Get the Cajun fries to spice it up a bit! All the burger toppings are free so load up! The prices aren't bad either!

Service was still nice. Burgers still seemed ok. I was seriously confused at the odor I smelled as soon a I walked in the door. It was like a slap in the face. Had my 4 year not requested this, I would have walked back out. I knew at this point he would have a hard time dealing with not eating here since he was able to pick because of his good behavior. I don't think we'll be going back anytime soon though.

The rating would be higher I'd the workers didn't look so angry. They didn't smile and continued to look at me like I was crazy when I asked them to put one burger in a separate bag since It was for two different people. they just handed me an extra bag and told me to do it myself. The food was good and hot although expensive. I would return with hopes the workers weren't so pissy.

I am not a huge fan of fast food of late. I cannot think of one trip to the "Big Five of fast food" where we have received our order where it was hot, fresh or more importantly-the order was correct in the last few years. Thank goodness there's an alternative. When we want a burger and fries; we head to Five Guys. The burgers are fresh, made with real burger (not pre-pressed, frozen patties made with goodness knows what) and cooked and dressed to order. You choose your size - one patty or two- you choose your toppings from an extensive list and they put it together for you. Even the buns are fresh! The burgers are priced by the patty, no extra cost for the toppings. The fries are fresh cut and fried in peanut oil. You can smell them as you walk in the door and it makes your mouth water. Your fries come in two sizes; small and large. Small easily feeds two hungry people and large can go to four. They also offer kosher grilled dogs - hubby is a fan- and veggie burgers as well as your standard assorted fountain beverages. While you wait, they have boxes of peanuts that you are welcome to dig into to pass the time. Then there is the staff. As you walk in the door, you are greeted from the grill. The counter person is always polite and acts like you are the only person in the store that matters. Every time we have been there, someone has been cleaning the dining area and it shows. Tables, floors, bathrooms- always clean and stocked. When you leave you get at least one "Goodbye and thanks for coming!" These folks care about their customers and they want you to come back. Next time you are hungry for a good burger and fries- check out Five Guys, you wont be disappointed.

Slow slow slow food is good but workers acted disgruntled. A hotdog and fries took about 15 minutes.
